Wow!!! Each day it seems like a new challenge to find fish for my customers. There has been no consistency to locating fish in the same area day after day due to the fresh water, but we are still managing to find trout and redfish on most days, as long as we move and fish different areas almost daily. The fresh water continues to flow through our bays and will continue as the rivers are full from all the rain we have had over the past month. When the winds have been down, without any doubt we have been in the surf and when the winds are up we have been concentrating on local shell reefs in Espiritu Santo and Matagorda Bays for the best action. Looking ahead, we should have many low wind days as we do every year during August, therefore the surf is where we will be heading every chance we get. Hopefully the rains have ceased and our bays will have a chance to return to there normal form soon. Hope all is well with you and yours.
