The fishing in POC has been a hit or miss lately with the rain, wind and all the fresh water. The south shoreline of Espiritu Santo Bay and West Matagorda Bay have been the best spots for action. We have caught some great boxes of fish and have landed many solid 20-25" trout lately with the biggest going 26". Anyday, the surf action should heat up and that's where I will be. We have not had one day out there yet this year and we are long overdue.

On a side note, please becareful if you have any open cuts, scrapes or wounds. There has been 4 cases of vibrio vulnificus in the past 3 weeks that have come from our waters around POC. This is a flesh eating bacteria that acts rapidly and can be life threatening. Cleanse all open skin areas with anti-bacterial soap and maybe peroxide or Chlorox after exposure.
