The fishing could not be any better than it has been over the past 2 weeks in Port O'Connor.  We have been limiting out on trout everyday and catching limits of reds on most.  The trout have been right where they are suppose to be during this time of year...when you have an incoming tide, fish shallow and when you have an outgoing tide, fish the area drop offs...the key has been locating a line of bait at the water's surface and fishing amongst it.  The redfish action has been good to great on most days.  They have been schooling up along our south and north shorelines early in the mornings and then switching to some deeper 3-4 feet holes in the afternoon when the tide is falling.  Best baits have been piggy perch as well as croaker and some artificial action has been good early in the morning with silver spoons and gulp alive working best for reds.  Looking ahead I hope we get out into the surf soon, because those days have been far and few between.  We are down approximately 15-20 days less this year than we normally get to fish out there, due to high winds and dirty water along the beach.  Here's a few pics from this past week...Hope you Enjoy!!!

******Also, Please remember 2009 Winter/Spring Baffin Dates are open to book...so if you are planning to make a trip to Baffin with me next year during the last week of January thru the first week of April...try and get a date or 2 reserved to go chase some trophy trout.
