As my Baffin season comes to an end, the top water bite has been unbelievable for super trout from 5 lbs to 9lbs. We have landed many trout in the 5 to 7 lb range, several in the 7 to 9 lb range and have honestly wore the paint off some top waters. Most fish have been in knee deep to waist deep water over sand and grass. Best top waters have been Mirro-lure she-dogs and he-dogs in the bone/silver and chrome belly/green back. Looking ahead I will be back in POC to kick off my season there next week and plan to continue with top waters and soft plastics, unless live bait is desired by my customers.
