04-08 Top Water Action in Baffin

I hope all has been well.  I have to say that this has been a very busy Baffin Season for me.  I apologize for the delay in updates and promise to do better.  Since my last update I sent out a little over a month ago...I have continued to be running out of Bluff's Landing and fishing down and around in Baffin Bay.  For the past 2 weeks the top water bite has been great.  We have used nothing but top water lures on most days with bone silver she-dogs being the best producers.  The best trout action has been in waist deep or less water.  I have approximately 2 weeks left down here and will be back in Port O'Connor for the remainder of the year.

On a side note, this past weekend I switched gears from chasing trout and went after redfish for a couple of days with some awesome redfish action and lots of catching...Myself and team mate Rocky Whitley joined in the Texas Redfish Series Tournament Circuit for the 2008 season.  The first tournament was this past weekend out of Bluff's landing and after 2 days of fishing we ended up in 6th place out of 129 teams and were only a couple ounces out of 3rd.  We caught over 50 reds between us in 2 days of fishing and had a blast.  Here are the results page link...
