Sept. 30, 2007 - Late Summer Action
Fishing over the past couple of weeks has been fair to good, but we have continued to catch limits on most days with a little extra effort. We have been using live piggy perch, live croaker and artificials as well. The best artificial baits have been soft plastics in darker colors with pumpkinseed and plum being the best. We have been catching the most fish over shell and mud early then switching to sand and grass as the day progresses. Looking ahead our waters should be shaping up and the saltwater should continue to work it's way back into our back bays and lakes as long as mother nature does not send us anymore rain.
