The fishing continues to be great in Port O'Connor. We have been wading the shorelines and reefs of Espiritu Santo Bay with live piggy perch and croaker and having great success. We have been focusing on the drop offs during out going tides and fishing shallower than waist deep during incoming tides with success. The surf also continues to produce limits of trout when mother nature allows us to get out there. The redfish have been running the first gut south of Pass Cavallo, while the trout have been located inside and outside the 2nd bar. We continue to have plenty of live croaker and piggy perch, so I feel that we will be fishing with them for the remainder of September for sure. Also our trout are still showing full egg sacks so I look for trout action over sand to continue for a few more weeks and then we will be focusing on shell reefs and shallower flats. Redfish are schooling up in big schools and we have been locating them along our shorelines in schools of 15-50. With this all said I hope that the catching continues and I will send out another report within 2 weeks. Take Care!!!
